The Lux et Color Vesprimiensis conference was organized for the first time in 2001 by the Applied Light and Color Working Committee of the Veszprém Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, at the close of the 70th birthday of Professor János Schanda. The yearly events of the Lux et Color Vesprimiensis series became a yearly review of the work of research groups into the most interesting works of light and colour science. At the event, researchers and students of the research field were given the opportunity to present their latest achievements, but representatives of industry who are also active in the field of light and colour are always given the opportunity.

In 2018, MTA VEAB organizes the Lux et Color Vesprimiensis conference in cooperation with new organizing partners, the Hungarian Lighting Association and the Foundation for Hungarian Lighting Technology, in honour of Prof. Schanda János in Veszprém on October 11-12, 2018. During this two-day event, we can count on current and interesting lectures on light and colour and lighting technology. At the conference, besides scientific results, we also offer the latest application technology results, as well as companies operating in the field of lighting technology. We also provide exhibition facilities for presenting the latest services and products of companies at the conference venue.

We cordially invite to Veszprém from the 11th to the 12th of October, 2018 everyone who apply or research colours, coloured products, coloured lights, light sources or other corresponding fields.
